Dominican U. (CA) Lacrosse Adds 12 Recruits for 2013-2014

"Rudy is tough and smart enough to play close defense, but he's also fast and quick enough to play long stick midfield," said Webster. "He vacuums up ground balls, has a great stick, enjoys pushing transition, and makes smart decisions in the offensive end of the field."

Justin Finley, Defense
Aurora, Colo./Regis Jesuit HS

The 6-foot-4, 205 lb. Finley was team captain his senior year and Second Team All-Conference for Regis Jesuit. He was a part of the program's State Championship team in 2011, as a sophomore.

"At 6-4, 205 Justin bolsters our size at the defensive end. He's rangy, able to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time, his left hand is valuable, and he has a solid understanding of the game having played for an excellent high school program. With increased intensity on and off-ball, Justin will be a special player for us."

Richard Guasco, Midfield
Portland, Ore./ Central Catholic HS

Guasco lettered in lacrosse, football, and basketball, and was captain of the lacrosse team. A 2013 US Lacrosse Boys' High School All-American, he earned First Team All-League honors both his junior and senior years. In 2013, he was also named First Team All-State after garnering an honorable mention the previous season.

"Richard is an athletic, tough, hard-nosed, between-the-lines kind of middie who plays strong defense, gets the ball up off the turf, and makes things happen in transition," said Webster "As he sharpens his stick and understanding of the game more and more, the sky's the limit for Richard."

Colin McMahon, Defense
San Diego, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School

A captain his senior year, McMahon was First Team All-Coastal League in 2012 and 2013 and garnered an All-CIF honorable mention. He was also a First Team All-Coastal League running back.

"Colin is physically and athletically ready to play college lacrosse now due to his natural ability and his hard work in the weight room," said Webster. "He is a tough defender to beat because of his speed and strength. He has very quick feet and throws short, punishing checks."

Connor Pryor, Midfield
Houston, Texas/Houston Christian High School

Pryor was captain of the Mustangs and led the team in goals and total points. He earned First Team All-State honors in 2012 and 2013 and was an All-American nominee as a senior.

"Connor is fast, has a good motor, a solid stick, a good shot, and uncanny vision for a midfielder," said Webster.

Quintin Purdue, Midfield/Attack
San Diego, Calif./Grossmont HS

Purdue is another player whose game has matured with age. After earning Second Team All-League honors in 2012, he was named First Team All-League in 2013. His strong academics, having been earned Union Tribune All-Academic honors all four years of high school, makes him a perfect fit for Dominican.

"Quintin is a slick player with a good stick and a fun approach to the game who always seems to come up with highlight reel plays," said Webster.

Erick Reister, Defense
Portland, Ore./Lincoln HS

Captain of the Cardinals, Reister was Second Team All-Conference his junior and senior seasons.

"Erick is comfortable all over the field. He has a keen understanding of team defense and his stickwork is sharp," said Webster. "Erick is one of those defensemen you don't always notice, but that's a good thing because it means he's doing his job."

Dalton Tuor, Midfield
West Linn, Ore./ West Linn HS

A US Lacrosse Boys' High School All-American, Tuor was captain of Lions his senior season. He was a First Team All-State member and earned First Team All-League both his junior and senior seasons.
