Limestone Lacrosse Adds 14 Recruits for the 2014 Season

GAFFNEY, S.C. -- After delivering the best season in program history a year ago, head Limestone lacrosse coach Scott Tucker has announced the addition of 14 student-athletes for the 2014 campaign.

Jane Bartlett: 5-3, Goalkeeper, East Lyme, Conn. (East Lyme HS)
After striking gold five years ago with the addition of Rashelle McLellan, the Saints all-time leader in wins and goals against average, Limestone goes back to the same program to pick up her potential successor in Jane Bartlett.

An extremely accomplished athlete, Bartlett was a four-year member of the lacrosse program and also competed for the Vikings championship volleyball team during her high school career. On the lacrosse field, she helped lead ELHS to four straight conference championships and was a two-time All-State honoree, garnering First-Team recognition as a senior and Second-Team honors as a junior.

She was also named All-Area by the New London Day all four years, the last three on the First-Team, and All-Area First-Team by the Norwich Bulletin as a freshman, junior and senior. As a volleyball player, she was a part of Connecticut State Championship teams as a junior and senior.

Kelly Chetney: 5-9, Midfielder, Oswego, N.Y. (Oswego HS)
A four-year member of the Buccaneers' lacrosse program, including the last three on varsity, Chetney also played basketball team for two years. As a senior she earned All-CNYELC Second-Team.

Jesscia Elms: 5-2, Defender, Severna Park, Md. (Severna Park HS)
Elms played four years of lacrosse, three on varsity, and competed in cross country and indoor track & field for the Falcons. She also helped lead SPHS to Maryland State Lacrosse Championships as a sophomore and junior and played for SPLax Club Team from 2005-12.

A four-year member of the Aves varsity lacrosse program, Gasset helped lead SHS to an Ohio State Tournament Runner-Up finish as a senior and was a two time First-Team All-American as a junior and senior. She was also a three-time All-District selection, earning First-Team honors as a junior and senior and Second-Team recognition as a sophomore while notching All-Conference honors as a junior.

Gasset delivered a career-high 107 goals as a senior and had 56 goals and 34 assists as a junior. She posted 24 goals and 21 assists as a sophomore and finished her career with 187 goals.

Kasey Halodik: 5-8, Defender, Waxhaw, N.C. (Marvin Ridge HS)
Yet another four year varsity lacrosse player joining the Saints this year, Halodik also competed in hockey for the Mavericks. Named Defensive Player of the Year as a senior, she also helped MRHS to a third place finish in the state tournament and a conference championship during her career. In addition to her high school playing career, Halodik also played club lacrosse for Carolina Select Lacrosse and the Queen City Stars.

Amanda Klein: 5-9, Midfielder, Baldwinsville, N.Y. (C.W. Baker HS)
Competed in soccer and basketball and played four years of lacrosse, three on varsity, for the Bees. She helped C.W. Baker to a tremendous 2013 season with a New York State Class A Runner-Up finish, NYS Regional and Section III Championships and a second place CNYCL National Division Championship.
