Vossler Named the Assistant Lacrosse Coach at John Carroll

Andrew Vossler, standout player at Rollins College who spent last season on the Adams State University coaching staff, has been hired as the assistant coach for the John Carroll men's lacrosse program.

Vossler joins first year head coach Brian Small to form the coaching staff that will lead John Carroll into its inaugural season of men's lacrosse in 2013-14.

Last year, Vossler served as the defensive coordinator at Adams State. In his lone season there, he coached two individuals to league defensive players of the week awards, and oversaw a defense that ranked 2nd in caused turnovers per game and 6th in ground balls per game at the NCAA Division II level.

As a player for Rollins, Vossler was voted captain three consecutive years, and was selected to the Deep South All Conference Team three consecutive seasons. In his career he picked up a program record 197 ground balls, and had 72 caused turnovers.

A four-year starter, he is the only player in history of the Rollins program to start every game for a four year period..

Vossler hails from the Syracuse (NY) area, where he attended Fayetteville-Manlius High School. He helped his team to three state tournament first-round postseason appearances, and a second round appearance his sophomore season. Over the course of his high school career, Vossler earned Third Team All-District his junior year, and First Team All-District his senior season.
