David Pomeroy Named Assistant Lacrosse Coach at IUP

INDIANA, PA IUP has announced the hiring of David Pomeroy as the assistant women's lacrosse coach. He comes to the Crimson Hawks with seven years of experience at various high schools, colleges, leagues and clubs.

Most recently he served as an assistant coach for the nationally-ranked women's club team at Loyola (Md.) University in addition to the girl's coach at Towson High School in Baltimore.

During the fall of 2011 he served as an assistant coach at Kutztown University while also heading the girl's program at nearby Freedom High School in Bethlehem.

He began his coaching career in 2007 with the men's team at the University of Wyoming before winning back-to-back Wyoming state high school championships as an assistant at Laramie High School.

A 2012 graduate of Rowan University, he's currently the president of the Mid-Atlantic Women's Lacrosse League, Vice President of the New England Women's Lacrosse League, and the co-chair and co-establisher of the Pomerstone Classic, a collegiate women's lacrosse tournament.
