Diane Haddeland Resigns as Manhattan's Head Lacrosse Coach

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Manhattan College head women's lacrosse coach Diane Haddeland has announced that she is stepping down from her position, effective immediately.

"We thank Diane for her service to Manhattan College and wish her the best," Senior Associate Director of Athletics Noah LeFevre said. "A national search for her replacement will begin today."

Haddeland served as the Jaspers' head coach for two seasons and mentored eight All-MAAC honorees during her two seasons. Seventeen Manhattan women's lacrosse players were named to the MAAC All-Academic Team during Haddeland's tenure. The Jaspers were also honored as an All-Academic Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association in 2012.

In 2013, Manhattan freshmen Megan Yarusso and Stefanie Ranagan were named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team and sophomore Christina Fiorinelli led the nation in ground balls for the second consecutive season. In 2012, Haddeland guided Manhattan to two MAAC victories in dramatic fashion, a pair of one-goal comeback victories over Marist and Niagara.
