Grand Canyon Welcomes 17 Recruits for 2014 Lacrosse Season

Grand Canyon University and head coach Manny Rapkin recently welcomed 17 new student-athletes to campus.

"It's an exciting time at GCU" said Rapkin. "New dormitories, new student union, new library, new turf facility, new strength and conditioning facility and NCAA Division I basketball have all been added since last year."

The Lopes, who finished 12th in the Nike MCLA Division I Poll, exited last year's national tournament after a first round loss to semifinalist BYU.

"Our incoming class is talented and we expect them to help us get back to the national tournament and advance deeper into the bracket", Rapkin added. "Grand Canyon is attracting exceptional students from around the country and men's lacrosse is benefiting by that".

This year's team will represent 14 states and three Canadian provinces.
