Hood MLax Aids Downtown Frederick Partnership

FREDERICK, Md. - Hood College men's lacrosse spent Sunday, October 13, volunteering their time to Downtown Frederick Partnership, a local non-profit organization. The team, made up of nearly 40 Hood College student-athletes, arrived at the Partnership office bright and early for a day of painting, cleaning, trash pick-up and other maintenance.

"Our goal is to get more involved in our community," said Hood College Men's Lacrosse head coach Brad Barber, "we had a fantastic time helping out at Downtown Frederick Partnership. We're glad we had the opportunity to help out."

Downtown Frederick Partnership, Frederick's designated Main Street Organization, works to enhance, promote and preserve the vitality and economic viability of Downtown Frederick by implementing the national Main Street Program for the benefit of Frederick businesses, residents and visitors.

"The Partnership is extremely grateful for the help of Hood Men's Lacrosse team," said Brittany Diehl, Promotion & Social Media Manager, "as a small non-profit organization, we rely heavily on volunteers for office improvement projects. The team was incredibly helpful and we were so happy to have them."
