Lindenwood Lacrosse Signs Eight Recruits for 2015 Season

Lindenwood lacrosse head coach Jack Cribbin announced the signing of eight student-athletes today during the early signing period for the 2014-2015 school year. The newest Lady Lions are Katie Bucy, Sophie Buelow, Sarah Cromer, Allison Hurley, Leah Neumann, Rachel Ortell, Makenzie Quinn, and Cassie Stucklen.

The eight newcomers come to St. Charles from seven different states. Lindenwood signed three midfielders, three attackers, one defenseman, and one goalkeeper.

"We're very excited about these eight young ladies," said Cribbin. "We look forward to all of them having a bright future here."

Bucy (Sammamish, Wash./Skyline HS) comes to Lindenwood from the Superstix club team. She is an explosive player with the ability to play midfield or attack. She has a very versatile and dynamic skill set. Her quickness should allow for her to score many goals over her career in St. Charles.

Buelow (Chanhassen, Minn./Chanhassen HS) is a midfield who comes to Lindenwood from the Minnesota Elite club team. She has game-breaking speed with the tenacity to match. She is an all-around balanced athlete who should contribute right away, and add a big boost to the Lions high scoring offense. Buelow is a pure competitor who will bring an up-tempo style of play to St. Charles.

Cromer (Centennial, Colo./Cherry Creek HS) is a midfield who comes to Lindenwood from the Team 180 club team. She comes from a winning background at both the high school and club ranks. She has the talent to be a game changer with her scoring ability and will give the Lions additional depth on the draw.

Hurley (McMurray, Penn./Peters Township HS) is an attack who comes to Lindenwood from the Pittsburgh Premiere club team. She is expected to be a future anchor on attack in the lefty spot. Hurley is a pure athlete with great field vision and natural scoring ability. She is a triple-threat player that will give the coaching staff many options.

Neumann (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley HS) is a midfield who comes to the Lady Lions from the Players club team. She is a physical and athletic player with a lightning fast shot. She's expected to bring an aggressive and creative style of play to St. Charles as a two-way midfielder for the Lions.

Ortell (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge HS) is a goalkeeper who comes to Lindenwood from the M&D Black club team. She is one of the top prep goalkeepers in the country. Ortell's athleticism, ball stopping ability, and quick hands should have her competing immediately for playing time. She has the potential to be one of the nation's best.

Quinn (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key HS) is a defenseman who comes to Lindenwood from the Check-Hers Elite club team. She has the potential to make an immediate impact on the Lindenwood defense. Her quick feet, athleticism, and field sense will contribute to the program's high-pressure defense for years to come.

Stucklen (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport Blue Point HS) is an attack is a pure athlete with excellent field vision and a high lacrosse IQ. She is a balanced player with a strong competitive fire who should compete for playing time immediately. She is the first Lady Lions signee from the lacrosse-rich area of Long Island.

Lindenwood is 30-4 in two years of NCAA action. The Lady Lions are eligible for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the upcoming 2014 season.
