Maritime Partners with Operation Baggataway

THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (January 13, 2014) Maritime in continued conjunction with Operation Baggataway is announcing its largest ever one-time donation that will be sent across the country to start up multiple lacrosse programs at Marine Corps installations.

At this point, the team has already begun to collect equipment to support the effort and is hoping to collect more throughout the upcoming season. The team is planning to collect equipment at both home and away games, for a list of all home and to see if the team will be in your area for road games please follow the link to the 2014 schedule.

"As a team, we are excited to be teaming up with Operation Baggataway once again. This is just a small way that we can send our thanks for those serving our country," said head men's lacrosse coach Dan Lawrence. "With the start of these new teams, we are closer to achieving our goal of having a lacrosse team at every base throughout the world."

Operation Baggataway was started in 2009 by members of the North Shore Lacrosse Club, with its mission of supplying any foreign U.S. base that requests equipment for soldier recreation. Operation Baggataway is a not for profit program that not only relies on generous donations of lacrosse equipment but also financial donations to cover the cost of shipments.

The Maritime men's lacrosse program is no stranger to working together with Operation Baggataway as it was part of a successful equipment drive during the past two school years in which donations were also collected and sent overseas to our servicemen and women.

If you are, or know of any servicemen or women interested in starting a program at their respective base, or for more information on how to donate to Operation Baggataway, please contact Maritime Men's Lacrosse coach Dan Lawrence at dlawrence at
