CACC Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll for 2014

Georgian Court and Philadelphia are the favorites in the 2014 CACC Lacrosse Preseason Poll voted on by the conference coaches. Georgian Court edged Dominican in the North Division, while Holy Family was second behind Philadelphia in the South Division.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. Post University was selected to finished third in the North Division in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Preseason Poll as announced on Tuesday. The Eagles received 25 points in the poll.

Post is coming off its best season in school history with a record of 2-13 overall and 2-8 in conference play. The Eagles return All-CACC Second Teamers in senior Meghan Diggett (East Islip, N.Y.) and junior Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.). Diggett led Post with 44 goals and became the program's all-time leading scorer with 79 in her career. Polaski broke single-season records with 69 points, 26 assists, and 57 ground balls.

Georgian Court was picked atop the North Division with 41 points and five first-place votes. Philadelphia took the top spot in the south with 32 points and six first-place votes. Defending conference champion, Holy Family was tabbed second in the south with 28 points and three first-place votes.

The Eagles begin the season on the road Tuesday, March 4 at American International. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
