St. Andrews Loses Heartbreaker to College of Charleston

Charleston, SC- The St. Andrews University men's lacrosse team dropped a heartbreaker 12-11 to conference rival College of Charleston on Saturday afternoon.

SAU's rally fell short as they scored 6 goals in the fourth quarter after only scoring 5 through the first three quarters. However it was not enough in the end as the Knights fell to 0-2.

Sophomore Jason Wilson led SAU with 4 goals while fellow sophomores Connor Cather and Cha'Sed Miller combined for five goals. Senior Chris Michela also scored two along with 3 assists. Senior Dugan McDermott had an assist.

C. of Charleston improves to 3-1 with the win and 1-0 in the division.

St. Andrews is next in action on Saturday when they play Southern Connecticut St. in a neutral-site non-conference game in Bel Air, Maryland at 2:00 pm.
