Albion Rallies to Edge Aurora for Second Win

PONTIAC, Mich. - Albion notched a signature win Saturday when it defeated Aurora, 11-9, in an indoor contest played at the Ultimate Soccer Arena.

Not only did Albion defeat an Aurora program that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship, but it had to overcome an early 3-0 deficit.

The difference in the contest was the second quarter where Albion outscored Aurora, 5-2. The teams matched goals in the other quarters.

Tim Urso paced the Albion offense with five goals and goalkeeper Kyle Formanczyk stopped at least 20 shots.

Albion, 2-1 on the young season, will play on campus for the first time this season March 1 when it challenges Augustana at 1:00 p.m. inside Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium.
