2014 Centenary College Lacrosse Season Preview

Centenary College first-year head coach Erica Roebuck enters the 2014 women's lacrosse season with one of the youngest teams in Division III.

The Cyclones have just one junior and zero seniors, along with nine freshmen and seven sophomores. Six players return from last year's squad that posted five victories, including three against Colonial States Athletic Conference competition.

Sophomore Devin Sutko (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) is the Cyclones' leading returning scorer after posting 16 goals and 25 assists for 41 points during 15 starts last season. Sutko is also Centenary's most experienced player in the faceoff circle, having recorded 14 draw controls during her rookie season.

Joining Sutko on the attack unit will be sophomore Carlie Schmitt (Stewartstown, N.J./Kennard-Dale). Schmitt ranked sixth on the team with 21 assists and added one goal, while starting all 15 games as a rookie.

At the midfield, sophomore Kelly Conklin(Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe Township) is Centenary's most experienced player after scooping up 32 ground balls in 15 starts last season.

Sophomore Kristen Rabenstein (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) will look to bounce back from injury as the anchor of Centenary's defense, while junior Cheyene Reynolds (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack) also returns to the Cyclones' back line.

Rookie goalkeepers Hannah Fisher (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) and Andrea Wisniewski will battle for playing time between the pipes.

Centenary opens its season Saturday when it faces Kean at 1:00 pm at the Cougars' Alumni Stadium.
