No. 22 Westminster Defeats LMU to Complete Road Trip

LOS ANGELES The No. 22 Westminster College men's lacrosse team completed its three-game road trip by defeating Loyola Marymount, 19-6, on Wednesday evening.

Leading 3-2 at the end of the first quarter, Westminster (3-1) took control of the game by scoring 11 of the next 13 goals to build a 14-4 lead at the end of three quarters. They closed the game with a 5-2 goal advantage in the fourth quarter to remain perfect in games against MCLA teams.

Eric Crosby and Kyle Postler led Westminster with three goals apiece in the victory. Postler would also tally three assists to finish with a game-high six points. Kevin Gee, Ethan Gosselin and Collin Madsen each scored two goals for the Griffins. Chris Burckle made 10 saves as he played the first three quarters before Ben Tourek made five stops in the fourth quarter.

The Griffins will return to action March 6 when they host Utah Valley. The home opener will begin at 4:00 p.m. from Dumke Field.
