Lovallo's Six Goals Not Enough in Loss to TWC

Laurinburg, NC- St. Andrews lost their second conference game of the season on Saturday, falling 12-6 to the Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan.

After senior midfielder Catherine Lovallo (SR, Old Bridge, NJ) tied the game at 3 midway through the first half, TWC (3-2, 1-0) would put the clamps on the Knights offense and held them scoreless through the rest of the half as they took a 6-3 lead at the break.

However, the second half would be more of the same as the Lady Knights were forced to play a man down when one of their defenders got injured causing TWC to go on to win 12-6.

Lovallo ended up scoring all 6 goals for St. Andrews as she shot 6 of 8 on the day. Unfortunately, no other Knights could get the ball past TWC's goalie as she made 15 saves on 21 shots.

Goalie Blake Forkner (JR, Savannah, GA) of SAU was not bad either as she made 12 saves on 24 shots for a 50% save percentage. Leading in ground balls for the Knights was Lovallo with 4 followed by junior Risa Wautel (JR, Baltimore, MD) and senior Shiloh Kozlowski (SR, Trenton, MI) with 3 each.
