Comeback Bid Stalls as No. 19 St. John's Falls at No. 17 Drexel

St. John's had a number of shots saved and failed to convert on a 30-second man-up opportunity the rest of the way, while Drexel added two goals in the final 1:40 to foil the visitors' comeback bid and secure the win.

In the Red Storm goal, freshman Joe Danaher made three saves in 22:50 of action while sophomore Harry Burke stopped four shots in 37:10 on the field. Junior defenseman Mark DiFrangia contributed a team-high two caused turnovers to the visitors' cause.

Ben McIntosh scored six points on three goals and three assists to lead the Dragons while teammate Cole Shafer finished with five goals.

Up next, St. John's stays on the road and wraps up its spring break by traveling to Kennesaw, Ga., where the Red Storm will take on No. 11/9 Syracuse on Saturday, March 8, at Fifth Third Bank Stadium as part of the inaugural Cobb County Classic. Opening faceoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
