2013 Champion Tar Heels to Visit the White House on Monday

CHAPEL HILL The 2013 NCAA champion University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team will visit with President Barack Obama and other 2012-13 championship squads at the White House in Washington on Monday, March 10.

Tar Heel players, head coach Jenny Levy, her coaching staff and selected UNC administrators will travel to Washington for the special event. The 2012 Carolina women's soccer team, which won the NCAA title, also will take part.

The President will host the 2012-13 NCAA Division I men's and women's champions at the White House for an afternoon event on the South Lawn. The President will welcome student-athletes from schools across the country to congratulate them on their accomplishments in the classroom and on the playing field.

The event will be open press and streamed live on www.whitehouse.gov/live.
