Brevard Scores Late to Edge Tusculum

BREVARD, N.C.- Brevard (3-4, 1-1 SAC) hosted their second South Atlantic Conference game against Tusculum (2-5, 0-2 SAC) on Saturday, March 8 winning 10-9 against the Pioneers.

The Tornados Ryan Taylor set up in the attack zone off a faceoff win by Brevard's Alsharif Blackman to put in the winning goal with 1:43 remaining in the game.

Andrew Bonnie led the Tornados with five goals contributing to Brevard's most impacting moments. During the second quarter, Bonnie went on a three goal run placing in his fourth goal of the game after a groundball was picked up in front of the crease from a deflected shot at the 3:08 mark. This tied the game up for the first time at 4-4.

Bonnie showed his presence on the field again after receiving a flipped pass from Alsharif Blackman in the attack zone. Andrew Bonnie ripped it from the top of the box to tie the game for the second time at 7-7 with 25 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

Mathew Dropuljic put Brevard in the lead at the 9:26 mark of the last quarter only to have Tusculum answer back with a goal to tie 8-8 at the 5:34 mark.

Alsharif Blackman and Mathew Dropuljic contributed two goals each for the Tornados.
