Eagan, Karr Lead Shepherd Past Tiffin

TIFFIN, Ohio -- Junior attacker/midfielder Kelsey Eagan (Baltimore, Md./Sparrows Point) had four goals and an assist, while junior attacker Georgia Karr (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) tallied three goals and five assists to lead Shepherd to a 13-7 win over Tiffin in lacrosse action at Tiffin on Sunday afternoon.

Sophomore attacker Hunter Morris (Severna Park, Md./Severn) added two goals and an assist, while senior midfielder Christina Ferrara (California, Md./Leonardtown) and sophomore midfielder Erin Phelan (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) each had two goals.

Senior attacker Hanna Wharton (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) and sophomore midfielder/attacker Theresa Lang (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding) each recorded single assists.

Tori Nelson led Tiffin with three goals. Gina Abulone added two.

Eagan had three of her goals in the first half as the Rams took an 8-4 lead into the break.

Junior netminder Lily Schmulowitz (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville) recorded eight saves for the Rams, while Jessica Bombard had 15 saves for the Dragons.

Shepherd held a 37-21 edge in shots while draw controls were even at 11 each. The Rams had a 19-16 edge in ground balls.

Shepherd improves to 4-1, while Tiffin falls to 0-2. The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to face Findlay for a 3:00 p.m. contest.
