Westminster (GA) Hosting Dogwood Girls' Classic on 3/14-15

Westminster Schools (Atlanta, GA) will be hosting the 14th annual Dogwood High School Girls' Lacrosse Classic on March 14 and 15. The event provides a rare in-season opportunity to watch some of the top players and programs from around the Southeast. The eight-team tournament features teams from Georgia, Texas, Virginia, Alabama, and Tennessee. Included in this year's field are:

Alpharetta High School (GA) AAAAAA quarterfinalist in 2013
Centennial High School (GA) #4 ranked school from GA in 2013
Lovett School (GA) Two-time GA State Champion
Westminster Schools (GA) Defending AAAAA-A state champion
Harpeth Hall School (TN) Multi-year state finalist from Tennessee
Lamar High School (TX) No. 8 in the South according to Lacrosse Magazine
Mountain Brook High School (AL) Defending Alabama state champion
St. Anne's-Belfield (VA) Traditional powerhouse just outside Charlottesville

St. Anne's-Belfield has one junior committed to Princeton and another to Denver. Lamar has a player headed to Northwestern and another to William & Mary. Centennial's goalie has committed to Colgate. This should be one the most competitive fields the event has had.

Admission to all games is free. First-round games (schedule below) will take place at Westminster and Lovett. On Saturday, all games will take place at Westminster. The finals are set for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
