Tom O'Grady Achieves 100 Total Wins for Boys and for Girls

Coach Tom O'Grady of Austin, TX recently became a member of the Century Club for the second time. What made that possible? He has coached both the boys' and girls' varsity lacrosse teams to 100 wins.

The boys' 100-win plateau was achieved on February 12, 2014 while he was coaching the varsity team at Cedar Park High School just outside Austin. O'Grady reached the 100-win mark for girls' lacrosse while coaching the Vandegrift Lady Vipers, also in Austin, in spring 2013.

The total of 200 varsity wins was achieved over a nearly 20-year span of coaching boys' and girls' teams in Florida and Texas.

Said O'Grady, "I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who has achieved this goal, but I know it's pretty rare. Especially because these wins were achieved in new markets like Florida and Texas and with new varsity teams. It feels great to have accomplished this achievement in the South."

O'Grady is currently the head varsity boys' lacrosse coach at Cedar Park High School and the co-founder and president of TeamFLC, an organization dedicated to lacrosse instruction and development. He recently started a girls' lacrosse program for grades 3-12 in the Lake Travis area of Austin.

Over the course of his career, O'Grady has played and coached in New York, Maryland, Florida, and Texas.
