Murphy Saves 16 as Colorado College Rolls by Babson

Packer put the Green and White up 1-0 just 1:12 into the game with his third goal of the year, but Kreitler tied the game with 2:14 left in the opening period, and Colorado College added tallies from Ritger and Allen just four seconds apart to take a 3-1 lead with 13:33 left in the second quarter.

MacCune notched his second goal of the year at the midway point of the stanza to get within a goal, but the Tigers used markers by McCormick and Kreitler to build a three-goal advantage heading into halftime.

Packer, converting a feed from MacCune for the second time on the day, followed a Colorado College goal to make it 6-3 with 9:48 to go in the third period, but the Tigers scored three times in a span of 2:42 to take their biggest lead of the game, 9-3, with 5:18 left in the quarter. Sophomore Spencer Low (Natick, Mass.) notched his team-leading 14th tally of the season at the 4:05 mark, but McCormick's second goal of the afternoon pushed the deficit back to six heading to the fourth.

Barsalou netted his eighth marker of the year off an assist from sophomore John Higgins (Duxbury, Mass.) with 6:25 to go in the game, but the Beavers were unable to draw closer in the final minutes.

Senior Adam Daroff (Pepper Pike, Ohio) stopped 10 shots in 39:42 of action, while first-year Giles Ober (Southborough, Mass.) came on to make two saves in the final 20:18 for Babson.

The Green and White collected 26 groundballs and were 25 for 30 on clear attempts, but struggled in man-up situations, going just 1 for 8, while winning just three face-offs on the day.

Babson will play its final game in Colorado on Friday when it takes on Southwestern (Texas) at 6:00 p.m. ET, while the Tigers host Otterbein at 3:00 p.m. ET.
