Berry Storms Past Oglethorpe in SAA Action

ATLANTA -- Eleven Berry players scored points as the Vikings won at Oglethorpe, 21-3, on Wednesday night. BC improved to 6-1 and 1-0 in the Southern Athletic Association. OU dropped to 1-5, 0-1.

Bryan Byers had four goals and four assists to lead the Viking offense. Kyle Lombardi had one goal and four helpers and Cory Hall notched five goals for the visitors.

Berry used an 18-0 run to pull away from the Stormy Petrels. OU ralled from a 2-0 deficit early to tie the game, but BC tallied the game's next 18 goals spanning all four periods.

Jordan Boreman had six saves against three goals for Berry. Cooper O'Brien stopped 15 Viking shots in the contest.

The Vikings led in shots (54-17), ground balls (45-26) and faceoffs (16-12). BC scored on 5-12 man-up opportunities.

Berry hosts SAA rival Centre College on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
