Piedmont Outguns Berry for 12th Victory

DEMOREST, Ga. -- Kristan Dziurzynski and Blair Shupenko both had five goals, but Berry lost at Piedmont, 18-11, on Wednesday night. Dziurzynski added three assists for the Vikings. Piedmont improved to 12-2, while Berry dropped to 5-4.

Early in the game, Shupenko scored two straight goals to give BC a 4-3 lead--its only advantage of the match--with 17:42 left in the half. Berry trailed 8-7 at halftime.

The match was tied four tiumes. The Lions, however, led in shots 34-23 and outscored the visitors 10-4 in the second half to secure the win.

Taylor Martin stopped six for the Vikings.

Maggie McDaniel tallied two goals and dished six helpers to lead Piedmont.

The Vikings host SAA rival Sewanee on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
