No. 20 Lourdes Remains Unbeaten, Cruises by Siena Heights

Lourdes continued its unblemished inaugural season on Wednesday evening with a convincing 11-2 victory over Siena Heights at O'Laughlin Stadium in Adrian, Mich.

The 20th-ranked Gray Wolves scored the game's first 11 goals, and goalkeeper Connor Mishler (Lambertville, Mich./Saint John's H.S.) kept the Saints off of the scoreboard until there was just 6:13 left in the contest. Mishler made 15 saves in the win.

Danny Bichsel (Westerville, Ohio/North H.S.) scored five times for the Gray Wolves, including four straight goals spanning the two halves. Bichsel tallied 13 shots, eight of which were on goal, to pace Lourdes offensive attack. Dylan Gill (Holland, Ohio/Saint Francis H.S.) added two goals and three assists while tallying 10 shots, as the Gray Wolves outshot the Saints 46-30 for the night.

Andrew DiMartini (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.) scored two more goals for Lourdes while Jared Yoshino (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) and Tony DiMartini (Sylvania, Ohio/Saint Francis H.S.) each scored once as well.

Lourdes outshot Siena Heights 26-10 in the opening half and led the Saints 7-0 at the break. The Gray Wolves held a 10-0 lead after three quarters before the hosts finally found the back of the cage twice in the final seven minutes.

Lourdes (6-0) will remain on the road Saturday afternoon, traveling to Grand Rapids, Mich. to face Aquinas. The opening faceoff is slated for 1:00 p.m.
