Davenport Routs Lourdes to Go 11-0

Lourdes wrapped up an eight-game road trip Thursday evening with a 21-4 loss at second-ranked Davenport at the DU Turf Field in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The Gray Wolves struck first as Allison Mazey (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton) scored just 1:23 into the contest to give Lourdes the early lead. A Katie Cerveny (Erie, Mich./Mason) goal with 21:25 remaining put the Gray Wolves on top 2-1, but that would be Lourdes final advantage of the game.

Davenport (11-0, 6-0 WHAC) scored the final 12 goals of the first half and added the first two of the second stanza to build a 15-2 lead and never looked back. Faith Fisher (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview) scored two second half tallies for Lourdes, giving her a team-leading 23 goals on the year.

The Panthers outshot the Gray Wolves 38-11 on the night as Amanda Kaczmarek (Berkey, Ohio/Evergreen) made 10 saves for Lourdes. Lena Henderson made three stops for Davenport in the win.

Lourdes (1-10, 0-6) will return home to the Lucas County Rec Center on Saturday morning as the Gray Wolves host seventh-ranked Aquinas. The opening draw will take place at 11:00 a.m.
