Kean Sends Centenary to Second Straight Loss

WASHINGTON, N.J. - Ten players scored for Kean during a 19-7 non-conference men's lacrosse victory over Centenary Saturday afternoon at Warren Hills High School.

The Cougars (9-1) stormed out to a 6-0 lead after 15 minutes and extended their edge to 11-2 at halftime. Sophomore Kenton Gottshall (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) got Centenary on the board at the 9:32 mark and classmate Trevor Krupinski (Lincoln Park, N.J./Boonton) netted a goal just before the break to account for the Cyclones' scoring.

Gottshall added a second goal during the third quarter, while senior Steve Orsini (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) fired in a pair of goals during the final 30 minutes.

Krupinski assisted on Orsini's second tally and freshman Sam Nickelson (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) handed out a pair of helpers.

Sophomore netminder Kevin Switzer (Hillsdale, N.J./Pascack Valley) stopped eight shots during the first half, while junior Grant Nice (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area) made six saves.

The Cyclones look to bounce back on Wednesday when they open Colonial States Athletic Conference play at Immaculata at 4:00 pm.
