Dziurzynski Nets Nine as Berry Outguns Huntingdon

ROME, Ga. -- Kristan Dziurzynski scored nine goals as Berry defeated Huntingdon, 15-12, on Tuesday at Ford Field. Berry improved to 6-5, while HC dropped to 6-7.

Dziurzynski's nine goals tied her personal high. The senior also passed for one assist in the game.

The Vikings got off to strong start and led 10-5 at halftime. BC pushed the advantage to 15-8 with a goal from Dziurzynski with 13:58 remaining.

The visiting Hawks, however, scored the game's last five goals for the final margin. Candice Williams (six goals) talled with 1:15 left for the contest's last score.

Berry College led in shots (35-30) and draw controls (15-14). Huntingdon held the edge in ground balls, 14-13. BC committed nine and forced 15 Hawk turnovers.

Taylor Martin (6-5) recorded seven saves and got the win for the home club.

Claire Rosenberg scored three goals and had two assists. Fellow freshman Kelsey McAnnally scored twice for the Vikes.

Berry plays at SAA-leading Centre College on Saturday.
