GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - Centenary was outshot 66-25 by Gwynedd Mercy as the Griffins handed the Cyclones their first Colonial States Athletic Conference lacrosse defeat by a 17-9 score on Saturday afternoon.

Orsini answered with a pair of scores in the second quarter, but GMU responded with two of its own. Gottshall brought Centenary within four at the half by scoring with just 17 ticks left on the clock.

Three consecutive scores early in the third extended the Griffins' edge to seven. The Cyclones got within five on two occasions, but three goals during a three-minute span of the fourth quarter helped Gwynedd Mercy ice the game.
