Kutztown Handled by Seventh-Ranked IUP

Roberts) connected on a free-position shot to put KU on the board, followed by a four-goal run by IUP. Junior Jillian Spencer (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township) closed out the half with her team-leading 27th goal off of a pass from Cara Lord (Media, PA/Penncrest).

With 8:35 remaining in the game, Spencer found freshman Taylor Sandin (Freehold, NJ/Colts Neck) who knocked in Kutztown's final goal.

Spencer and Davis both led the team with two caused turnovers a piece. Senior JoAnn McLaughlin (Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape) hung tough in net for the first 45 minutes, recording 12 saves. Freshman Abby Cox (York, PA/West York) closed out the contest with four saves.

Brittney Palardy and Drew Hayden were unstoppable for IUP. Palardy tallied six goals, while Hayden recorded five goals and two assists. Alex Edwards, Kim Hooven and Brenna Gallagher each netted two goals, while Sarah Ward, Kiera Huntsman, and Cariss Smith each scored one.

Katie Davis, Sarah Knotts, and Chelsey Hipp all split time at goalkeeper for IUP.
