3d Rising Player Evaluations: Lone Star Prospects II

5) Coppell (11 -4) The Cowboys of Coppell are another tough squad out of North Texas. Coppell has some big wins: The Woodlands, St. Mark's, Keller, and Plano West. A blowout loss to ESD knocked them down a few notches, but they responded well by knocking off scrappy district foe Allen. Air Force commit Nick Hruby ('14) and junior Ben Dodson lead the charge offensively for the Cowboys. Coppell has one more regular season test against Southlake before the THSLL playoffs.

Honorable Mention: Highland Park (6-5), Westlake (9-6), Flower Mound (10-1), Keller (13-2), Allen (9-6), Southlake (6-7), Kinkaid (6-6), Anderson (10-4)

Prospect Watch

Nick Hruby, 2014 - Coppell
Air Force Commit
Position: Attack
Sub Position: Dodger
Rating: Player

The oil in the Coppell Cowboys' offensive machine is Air Force commit Nick Hruby. He earns the respect of help defensemen with his hard-dodging style and playmaking ability. Not afraid of contact, Hruby gets to the middle of the field and finishes strong. His tough mentality will serve him well at the next level, when he dons the silver and blue for the Falcons.

John Michael Priddy, 2016 - Dallas Jesuit
Michigan Commit
Position: Defense
Sub Position: LSM
Rating: Legit

If you are in need a loose ball off the wing on a faceoff, a defensive play on or off ball, or simply a 6'2" horse who can run up and down the field, give John Michael Priddy a call. JMP is a major asset in Coach Surran's defensive portfolio. Highly skilled with the ball, he runs like a deer in the open field. Poised with the ball, John Michael can create offense in transition. Opposing coaches can pretty much count on Priddy erasing their top midfielder from the offense.

Zack Kissick, 2016 - Dallas Jesuit
UNC Commit
Position: Attack
Sub Position: Two-Handed Dodger Feeder
Rating: Legit

Zach is the real deal. I'm not exactly sure if Kissick is a righty or lefty ... he is that smooth with either hand. Zach does an excellent job of setting up his teammates with hard dodges and skip passes up top. He's also a crafty off ball with well-timed creep cuts and backdoor cuts. A student of the game with the athleticism and skill to match, Kissick creates major problems for opposing defenses.

Drew Goethals, 2014 - Dallas Jesuit
Position: Goalie
Sub Position: Lefty Stopper
Rating: Watch-List

Jesuit has churned out some high caliber goalies recently in Dan Morris (Maryland) and Christian Carson-Banister (Boston University). Drew Goethals follows the tradition of strong Ranger goaltending. A good stopper who's always in position to make the save, he is also poised in the clearing game. Drew can definitely play at the next level, and NCAA programs should take note of his abilities.
