Eight Score Two Each as No. 13 Stanford Runs by UC Davis

STANFORD, Calif. Eight players scored two goals apiece for Stanford in an 18-6 victory over UC Davis in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation lacrosse action on Tuesday night at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.

Four different scorers combined for four goals in the game's first 3:07 to spark No. 13 Stanford (11-2 overall, 5-1 MPSF). The Cardinal went on to build an 8-1 lead in the first 12 minutes and eventually built a 10-goal lead to necessitate a running clock for the game's final 26 minutes.

Hannah Farr scored two goals and had four draw controls to match teammate Megan Lerner's total. Other Stanford two-goal scorers were Kyle Fraser, Anna Kim, Meg Lentz, Kelsey Murray, Rachel Ozer, Alex Poplawski, and Paige Southmayd.

Stanford needs one more victory in its final three regular-season games to clinch a spot in the six-team MPSF tournament. The Cardinal sits in second place behind Denver (7-0 MPSF), which must lose its final two games for Stanford to have a chance at the No. 1 seed.

Tuesday's game marked the first of three in a six-day stretch. Stanford plays at San Diego State on Friday and USC on Sunday in a game televised by the Pac-12 Networks.
