Cyclones Overpowered by No. 6 Cavaliers in Season Finale

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - Sixth-ranked Cabrini scored 10 times in the first quarter and never looked back during a 26-3 victory over Centenary in the Cyclones' final regular-season game on Thursday afternoon.

The Cavaliers jumped out to a 2-0 lead before senior Steve Orsini (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) got Centenary on the board at the 7:08 mark. However, Cabrini scored the game's next 15 goals and built a 17-1 halftime lead.

Sophomore Anthony Biango (Highland Lakes, N.J./Highland Lakes) netted a pair of goals during the final 30 minutes, one off a feed from classmate Kenton Gottshall (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East), to account for the remainder of the Cyclones' goals.

Junior goalkeeper Grant Nice (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area) recorded 21 saves and 10 ground balls, while classmate Nick Perkalis (Califon, N.J./Voorhees) scooped up four ground balls.

Cabrini recorded 47 shots on goal and grabbed 69 ground balls and Damian Sobieski scored seven times to lead the Cavaliers' offense. With the victory, Cabrini set a new NCAA record with its 102nd consecutive conference victory.

Centenary closed out its season with a 5-9 record, including a 2-4 mark in CSAC play.
