Jacksonville to Welcome 15 Lacrosse Recruits for 2014-2015

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville lacrosse head coach Mindy McCord has announced that 15 incoming freshmen will join the program in the fall, comprising the Dolphins' class of 2018.

"Paul, Sarah and I worked hard to secure a fantastic group for our JU class of 2018," said Head Coach Mindy McCord. "This is the class that has to replace our awesome senior class from this year and last year, a total of 17 graduates over the past two years. That's why it's a larger class than normal for us. It's full of diversity, speed, skill, and most of all it is chock full of winners."

"The psychology of this class is very strong," continued McCord. "They are coming to JU to win and take the program further than we have gone in the past. While they are talented, we were very careful to only recruit players who wanted to go far beyond their prep-levels of play. The game of lacrosse is a game of inches. The most important inches are the six in between a player's ears. When the mind is engaged and willing to take on a challenge, the future is limitless. When the mind is already full, future growth is limited."

"It's an exciting time. We are excited to work with the group in camp this summer and then in the fall. They're a great group and I want to thank everyone on campus that helped put this class together with us."
