Brown Welcomes Nine Recruits for the 2015 Lacrosse Season

PROVIDENCE, R.I. Brown lacrosse head coach Keely McDonald '00 has announced the incoming class of 2018 slated to join the Bears for the 2015 season. The talented nine-member class includes siblings of current and former Brown players as well as a freshman from the nearby Moses Brown School in Providence.

"We are thrilled about the 2018 class, they are a talented group and each player is a perfect fit for Brown University and our program," said McDonald. "The combined athleticism, determination and character in this class will guide Brown lacrosse for years to come. It is also exciting to have Emma Dahle and Marissa Hudgins, sisters of current and former Bears, join the team. We can't wait to start working with these student athletes."

Emma Dahle
Hometown: Wynnewood, Pa.
High School: Friends' Central School
Height: 5'6"
Position: Midfield/Attack
Dahle Facts: Two-time captain ... First Team All-American in 2013 and 2014 ... 2014 USL Jackie Pitts Award winner ... First Team All-Southeastern Pennsylvania selection ... Friends' Central MVP in 2013-14 ... Friends' Central's all-time leading scorer ... Academic All-American honors in 2013-14 ... her sister, Rebecca, is a junior on the Brown women's lacrosse team.

Marissa Hudgins
Hometown: Syracuse, N.Y.
High School: West Genesee
Height: 5'10"
Position: Defense
Hudgins Facts: Tallied 25 goals, 15 assists, 42 draw controls, and 29 caused turnovers as a senior ... All-American, Academic All-American, and All-CNY selection ... National Honor Society member ... has two brothers, Marcus and Nelson, and a sister, Bre, who graduated in 2014 ranked third on Brown's all-time scoring list with 167 points.

Yuna Hur
Hometown: Stony Brook, N.Y.
High School: The Hotchkiss School
Height: 5'3"
Position: Attack/Midfield
Hur Facts: Senior captain ... USL Team 1 All-American ... two-time USL Academic All-American ... Babe Didrikson Award winner for Best Female Athlete ... named NEPSWLA All-Star and Most Valuable Offensive Player ... Newsday's Player of the Week "Rising Star" ... has a brother, Young.
Why Brown?: "The healthy balance of being a student-athlete really stood out to me when I visited and attended classes at Brown. Having the opportunity to explore your interests was appealing to me. The coaching staff and teammates were immediately welcoming and were willing to motivate each other, on and off the field."

Brianna Irons
Hometown: Wallingford, Pa.
High School: Strath Haven
Height: 5'4"
Position: Defense/Midfield
Irons Facts: As a senior, posted 44 goals and 17 assists ... tallied 25 goals and seven assists as a junior ... senior captain ... All-Delco First Team and All-Central First Team selections in 2014 ... three-sport athlete (soccer, indoor track, lacrosse) ... National Honor Society and Academic All-American in 2013 and 2014 ... has a brother, Zack, and a sister, Grace.
