Penn State Welcomes Seven-Member Lacrosse Freshman Class

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; August 15, 2014 Penn State head lacrosse coach Missy Doherty has announced the additions of seven incoming freshmen who will represent the Class of 2018. The contingent is comprised of four midfielders, two defenders and a goalkeeper.

"This is an extremely diverse group of talent," said Doherty. "We are looking forward to seeing them on the field for the next four years."

Four standouts McKenna Coyle (Kennett Square, Pa.), Maggie Gallagher (Bel Air, Md.), Maggie Kaulius (Severna Park, Md.) and Katie O'Donnell (West Chester, Pa.) garnered US Lacrosse All-America honors during their high school careers. In addition, O'Donnell, a West Chester native, broke the Pennsylvania state all-time goal record with 430 goals during her standout career at Henderson High School.

McKenna Coyle

Played on the Philly Under Armour Underclassmen All-Star Team in 2011 ... Also played for the PA Express 2014 Orange.
