#14 Princeton Stuns #2 Virginia, 8-7, to Advance

Weymouth was awarded the next draw after Princeton drew early, and Virginia quickly moved into an offensive set that saw Leachman dump the ball back to a cutting Breslin, who scored her second goal in less than a minute to pull Virginia within one.

The Tigers again won the draw and worked for a shot, but Miles made her eighth save of the game and Connors pounced on the loose ball. She got the ball upfield to Wasilewski, who found O'Malley cutting through the fan. O'Malley whistled a shot to the cage, scoring at 55:49 to tie game at 7-7.

The Cavaliers won the draw but threw the ball away, and at the other end of the field Lewis-Lamonica bounced her fourth goal into cage at 57:46 to put the Tigers back on top.

Virginia won the draw but O'Boyle made a save, and the Tigers worked the ball back up to the other end of the field. They in turn turned the ball over, and a last attempt by the Cavaliers failed with a broken clear, and Princeton ran out the clock.

The Tigers advance to the quarterfinals where they face Dartmouth.

Weymouth's assist today ties her for the all-time record for assists as a first-year with Amy Appelt, and her two points today give her 70 for her season, the second-highest single-season total in school history.
