#10 Ithaca Defeats FDU-Florham, 10-8
Madison, N.J. -- The tenth-ranked men's lacrosse team picked up a 10-8 victory over FDU-Florham Saturday afternoon for its second win of the season.
Junior Matt Nelligan (Pingree School/Rowley, Mass.) notched four goals and one assist for the Bombers, while classmate Logan Bobzien (Arapahoe/Centennial, Colo.) recorded a goal and five assists, a career high. Senior goalie Dennis Butler (Pleasantville/Pleasantville) made nine saves for the win.
FDU-Florham tallied the first four goals of the game, and received a three minute penalty in the last five minutes of the first. Ithaca capitalized on the man down opportunity, scoring three straight goals to tie the score at 4-4. The Bombers went on to score eight of the next nine goals in the win.
The Bombers next game is Wednesday against Oneonta. The game has been moved to Schoellkopf Field at Cornell and is set to begin at noon.
