Bill, LaBella Lead Drexel to 11-4 Win over Saint Joseph's

Philadelphia – Jessica Bill (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Baldwinsville) scored four goals while goalie Lauren LaBella (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) allowed just one goal and made seven saves in over 48 minutes of action as Drexel defeated Saint Joseph's in a non-conference women's lacrosse game. The victory moved the Dragons to 4-1 on the season while the Hawks evened their record at 1-1.

Five different Dragons scored in the first half while La Bella made five saves to give Drexel a 5-0 lead entering halftime. Drexel put the game away early in the second half as Bill scored the period's first two goals. Kaitlin Keegan (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) followed with her second goal of the game before Bill tallied her fourth score to extend the Dragons' lead to 9-0. Drexel would hold on to defeat the Hawks, 11-4.

Kerry Kelly (Roseland, N.J./West Essex) and Emily Hoesch (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) each contributed a goal and two assists while Sarah Carter (Columbia, Md./Long Reach) recorded her first two goals of the season.

In their next game the Dragons will host Lehigh on Wednesday, March 14 at 4:00 p.m.
