No. 13 Ithaca Posts 18-11 Win Over Whittier
San Diego, Calif. – The 13th-ranked men's lacrosse team posted an 18-11 win over Whittier to improve to 3-1 on the season. Junior midfielder Craig Lepiane (West Irondequoit/Monroe) scored a career-high six goals and with one assist for a career-high seven points.
Junior attack Matt Nelligan (Pingree School/Rowley, Mass.) scored two goals and handed out a career-high four assists and junior attack Kevin Bush (Arapahoe [Colo.]/East Point, Fla.) tallied two goals and two assists. Sophomore attack Mike Cintineo (Honeoye Falls-Lima/Honeoye Falls) added two goals and one assist and sophomore defenseman Neth Wiedemann (Episcopal School of Dallas/Dallas, Texas) netted the first goal of his collegiate career. Senior goalie Dennis Butler (Pleasantville/Pleasantville) made 16 saves in recording the win.
The Bombers return to action Tuesday when they play McDaniel at 10:00 p.m. in San Diego, Calif.
