WELLINGTON, Fla. – Chelsea Ferruzzi (Jenkintown, PA/Jenkintown) scored 34 seconds into first sudden-victory overtime period to break a 13-all deadlock and give McDaniel a 14-13 win over Montclair in non-conference women's lacrosse action on Tuesday.

Ferruzzi was one of four players to record hat tricks for the Green Terror (4-0), who overcame a 6-3 halftime deficit to force overtime.

Michelle Mullen (Pasadena, MD/Chesapeake) led all scorers with three goals and three assists while Connie Wuenschel (Sykesville, MD/South Carroll) and Kerrie Wuenschel (Sykesville, MD/South Carroll) each tallied three goals and an assist.

After outscoring the Red Hawks (1-1) 9-6 in the second half, McDaniel struck first in the six-minute overtime session. Montclair knotted the game at 13 with a goal in the second half of the period to force sudden victory.

Ferruzzi took a pass from C. Wuenschel 34 seconds in to get the Green Terror off to its best start to a season since 1994, when it started the campaign 8-0.
