McDaniel Keeps Rolling with 21-6 Win over Scranton

WELLINGTON, Fla. – Erinn Hopkins (Monrovia, MD/Urbana) recorded four goals and two assists to lead McDaniel to a 21-6 victory over Scranton in the final game of its two-game trip to Wellington, Fla., in non-conference women's lacrosse action on Wednesday.

Michelle Mullen (Pasadena, MD/Chesapeake), Kerrie Wuenschel (Sykesville, MD/South Carroll) and Stephanie Sudbrook (Baltimore, MD/Loch Raven) also added hat tricks for the Green Terror (5-0), who open a season with wins in its first five games for the first time since 1994. Sudbrook added two assists while Mullen had one helper.

After spotting the Royals (0-2) a 2-1 lead, McDaniel rattled off the next eight goals to open up a 9-2 advantage en route to a 12-4 halftime edge and cruised to victory.

Jennifer Stone (Baltimore, MD/Loch Raven) added two goals and three assists for the Green Terror while Connie Wuenschel (Sykesville, MD/South Carroll) had two goals and two assists.

McDaniel returns to action at Franklin & Marshall on Mar. 22. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
