No. 4 Wesleyan Starts Fast, Downs Hamilton, 11-2
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Nationally ranked No. 4 Wesleyan University jumped out to a 6-1 lead after one quarter and cruised to an 11-2 win against Hamilton College in a non-league game played at Jupiter Park on March 15.
Marc Albu '08 and Justin Williams '10 scored the goals for Hamilton (1-1 overall). The Continentals travel north to No. 9 Stevens Tech for another non-league game on Saturday, March 17, at 2:30 p.m.
Wesleyan (3-0) held a 32-28 advantage in shots and picked up 40 ground balls to Hamilton's 28. Billy Haas '10 won 9 of 12 faceoffs for the Continentals.

JUPITER, Fla. - With a stifling defense that limited 29th-ranked Hamilton College (1-1) to only two goals, the Cardinals of Wesleyan University (3-0), ranked fourth in the country, made short work of the Continentals with an 11-2 victory here Thurs., March 15.
Senior Tom Bendon grabbed a team-leading eight ground balls, and he paces the Cardinals in that department this season with 18. Over 48 minutes in the net, Wesleyan senior goalie Charlie Congleton amassed 11 saves while yielding the two Hamilton goals, one of which came while Hamilton enjoyed a two-man advantage. Congleton's save percentage now stands at a phenominal .787, while his goals-against average dipped to 4.35.
Offensively, Wesleyan had six different goal scorers in the first period as the squad held a 6-1 edge after 15 minutes of action. Junior Chris Jasinski and sophomore Adam Kirk each closed out the game with a pair of markers. Jasinski also had an assist for a three-point game while junior Alex Kaufman had a goal and two helpers. Hamilton netminder senior Ethan Shoemaker had 14 saves.
