No. 16 Hamilton Edged by No. 4 Bowdoin, 8-7
WELLINGTON, Fla. -- Hamilton College's Liz Longley '07 and Inga Stots '07 scored two goals apiece, but the nationally ranked No. 16 Continentals were edged 8-7 by Bowdoin College in a non-league game on March 15.
Hamilton (0-2 overall) lost its second straight game against an opponent ranked in the top 10 to open the season. No. 4 Bowdoin (2-1) trailed 4-3 at the half, but outscored the Continentals 5-3 in the second half.
Longley and Stots were credited with one assist apiece to go along with the goals. Nicole Tetreault '08 added one goal and one assist. Kate Marek '09 won seven draw controls. Hamilton travels to SUNY Oneonta for another non-league game on Tuesday, March 20, at 3:00 p.m.
