(Carlisle, PA)- Senior attackman Drew Peace (Lutherville, MD) scored the game-winning goal with 2:37 remaining in the first overtime to lead the Dickinson College men's lacrosse team to an 11-10 win over 11th-ranked Roanoke College on Sunday.

Senior goaltender Kevin Riley (Westfield, NJ/Lawrenceville) was outstanding all afternoon, and made two huge point-blank saves late in the contest. The Red Devil defense also turned in a strong performance while holding Roanoke to just 1-of-8 on extra-man opportunities.

The Maroons jumped out to an early lead, scoring the first three goals of the game. The Devils settled in and took an 8-6 lead into halftime.

Jon Mason tied the game with back-to-back goals for Roanoke to open the second half. Those would be the only points scored in the third quarter, sending the game to the final stanza tied 8-8.

The teams traded goals with Steve Furdock giving Roanoke a 10-9 edge with 4:19 remaining in regulation. Brian Mohler (Baltimore, MD/Loyola) finished a pass from Derek Still (Oreland, PA/Penn Charter) to pull the Devils even with 2:27 on the clock.

Both defenses held to send the game to overtime. The Maroons claimed the opening face-off but turned the ball over with 3:01 left to play in the first overtime. The Devils wasted little time as Peace drove the left side of the crease an put home the game-winner for the Devils' third win of the season.

Senior Ed Lawless (Abington, PA/LaSalle) led the Devils with three goals and one assist. Peace and Mohler each finished with two goals while Still scored once, handed out two assists and scooped up six ground balls.

Matt Kogelschatz (Baltimore, MD/St. Paul's) and Chris Breslin (Garden City, NY/Garden City) anchored the defensive effort, combinging for 11 ground balls. Riley made 18 saves on the day for the Devils while Nick Peck stopped 14 shots in the Roanoke cage.

The Red Devils improve to 3-2 on the season. They are home again on Wednesday, hosting York College at 3:30 pm.
