No. 12 Trinity (CT) Tops Babson in Florida, 12-10

Wellington, Fla. – Senior co-captain attack Lauren Malinowski (Longmeadow, Mass.) notched three goals and two assists to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 12-10 win over the Babson College Beavers women's lacrosse action this morning. Trinity, ranked No. 12 in the nation, improves to 3-0, while the Beavers drop to 3-2 with their first loss in three games.

Trinity outscored Babson, 7-3, in the second half in its first game of its spring break trip to Florida. Junior attack C.J. Yanofsky (Needham, Mass.) and freshman attack Jenn Calver (Barnard, Vt.) each contributed three goals, while sophomore midfielder Alison Holmes (Gates Mills, Ohio) added a goal and two assists for the Bantams. Junior midfielder Anita Martignetti (Winchester, Mass.) paced the Beavers with three goals and two assists. Junior goalie Michelle Smith (Wayland, Mass.) made 10 saves for Trinity and senior Jennifer Williams (Andover, Mass.) had nine stops for Babson.
