Devils Run Past Unbeaten Mules in CC Opener

(Allentown, PA)- The Dickinson College women's lacrosse team returned to form on Wednesday night, posting an 18-7 win over previously unbeaten Muhlenberg in the Centennial Conference opener for both teams. The Red Devils opened with a four-goal run and ended the half with five straight en route to a 10-3 halftime lead.

The teams traded goals to begin the second before Dickinson went on another 6-0 run.

Senior Laura Williams (Chestertown, MD/Gunston Day) led the way with four goals, two assists and a pair of draw controls. Classmate Jena Boccetti (Hockessin, DE/St. Mark's) added three goals and an assist while first-year Alyssa Crellin recorded her fourth hat-trick of the season, adding three goals as well.

First-year Abby Larson (Easton, MD/Gunston Day) chipped in with a pair of goals and an assist.

Senior Lizzie Cone (Hockessin, DE/Ursuline Academy) controlled the midfield and tallied five draw controls. Gabby Joffie (Jamaica, NY/Mercersburg Academy) made 12 saves.

Sara Miller led Muhlenberg (5-1, 0-1) with three goals. Caroline Shadood stopped 16 shots.

The Red Devils travel to Mary Washington on Sunday for a 2:00 start.
