Eastern Connecticut 18, Western New England 9

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior Lily Anderson (Portland, ME) led nine players in the scoring column with five goals to lead the Eastern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team to an 18-9 victory over Western New England College in a non-league contest Tuesday.

Senior Kara Bradley (North Haven, CT) added four goals and two assists while senior Jenna Faiola (Billerica, MA) also tallied three times for the Warriors. Sophomore Megan Gloster (Agawam, MA) scored twice and had three assists. Senior Erin Calkins (Stony Brook, NY) finished with 11 saves.

Eastern Connecticut (2-3) took an early 3-0 lead before the Golden Bears cut the margin to one twice, the last time at 5–4 following a goal by junior Kayte Devine (New Fairfield, CT) with 12:05 left in the opening half. The Warriors then scored six of the next seven goals for a comfortable 11-5 advantage at the break.

Devine, sophomore Lindsey Fenton (Amherst, MA), and freshman Rosalie Rodriquez (Norwalk, CT) each netted two goals for the Golden Bears who were making their home debut. Sophomore Brie Sylvia (West Tisbury, MA) stopped 13 shots.
