Western New England Nips Roger Williams in OT, 15-14

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. Junior Kayte Devine (New Fairfield, CT) scored five goals, including the game-winner with 52.3 seconds remaining in the third overtime, as the Western New England College women's lacrosse team fought back for a thrilling 15-14 victory over Roger Williams University Monday (April 2) in a non-league game.

Sophomore Lindsey Fenton (Amherst, MA) contributed five goals and an assist for the Golden Bears who evened their record at 3-3. Senior Audrey Kelton (Wilder, VT) added a goal (the 100th of her career) along with three assists. Senior Jess Vogel (Tonawanda, NY) chipped in with two goals and two assists while sophomore Michelle Thompson (Wilbraham, MA) had two goals and an assist.

Sophomore Brie Sylvia (West Tisbury, MA) played her best game of the season finishing with 17 saves, including key saves in both the first and third extra sessions.

Roger Williams (4-3) had eight players score goals with junior Kara Smolca (Gaithersburg, MD) leading the way with three goals and a pair of assists. Sophomore Jacqueline Criss (Westwood, MA) netted a goal with an assist.
