CLINTON, N.Y. -- Tim Burns '08 scored one goal and assisted on two others, and Brian Tricoles '07 stopped the last eight shots he faced to help lead SUNY Oneonta to a 7-3 non-conference win against host Hamilton College at Campus Road Athletic Field on April 3.

George Tsirigotis '09 chipped in two goals for Oneonta (9-1 overall). The Red Dragons have won three straight. Gordon Bopp '08 and Tyler Dunne '08 added one goal and one assist apiece. Dunne won 11 of 12 faceoffs and picked up six ground balls. He leads Oneonta with 19 goals. Brandon Cohen '07 led the defense with six ground balls.

Clark Winter '07, Grant Blosser '09 and Justin Williams '10 scored the goals for Hamilton (2-6). The Continentals have lost four in a row. Williams leads Hamilton with 12 goals while Winter paces the Continentals with 20 points.

Hamilton led 3-0 after Williams scored on a nifty pass ahead from Frasher Kempe '08 with 1:52 left in the first quarter. However, it was all Red Dragons for the final 46 minutes. Oneonta trailed 3-2 at the half, but Bopp tied the score on his eighth goal with 5:30 remaining in the third quarter. Mike Evans '09 notched his 18th goal nearly three minutes later to give the Red Dragons the lead for good. Oneonta clinched the victory with three goals in the fourth quarter.

The Continentals held a 30-20 advantage in shots, but could not solve Tricoles. He came into the game with a 4.34 goals against average and a save percentage of .691. The Red Dragons picked up 38 ground balls to Hamilton's 24. Oneonta won 11 of 13 faceoffs. The Continentals were 0-for-7 on extra-man opportunities.

Hamilton travels to nationally ranked No. 12 St. Lawrence University for a Liberty League game on Saturday, April 7, at 2:30 p.m. The Red Dragons play a SUNYAC contest at No. 20 Geneseo State on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
